Founder

In 1991, Sos Sargsyan, one of the greatest and most famous actors of the USSR and RA, founded the Hamazgayin Theater. During the difficult period of time for Armenia (1990s), he spared no effort to ensure the establishment of the theater. Performances were staged, which the audience warmly encouraged and loved very much․ Amongst the first performances of the theatre were "Sanita's District Mayor", "Mountain Tulips", "We", "A Cup of Kindness", "Oscar", "King Lear" and others.

Sos Sargsyan contributed all his creative potential and efforts to ensure the development of the theater to achieving new success. By the end of his tenure, Sos Sargsyan had established the Hamazgayin Theatre as a prestigious and influential actor-led theatre.
