The Stone

Yervand Kochar’s works feel like a journey into Armenian history and a declaration of love for his homeland. “The Stone” performance brings together sculpture, movement, and speech, revealing Kochar’s inner struggle between tradition and experimentation, oppression and self-expression, homeland and exile.

The performance unfolds like a mosaic, where the stone represents Armenia, fate, and the very material through which Yervand Kochar expressed his love for his country.
